Greetings from the Wisconsin Rural Opportunities Foundation (WROF), Inc.!

The WROF, Inc. will award $3,000 scholarships to five outstanding high school seniors from rural Wisconsin to pursue post-secondary education through our Premier Scholarship Awards Program.

Applications are currently open and will close at 11:59 pm on Friday, March 7, 2025. The application can be found on the website: https://www.wrof.org. We will only accept applications submitted online.

Here are the criteria we will use when choosing the five recipients:

• The high school senior has lived in rural Wisconsin for at least two years. “Rural” is defined as traditional rural areas and rural towns with a population of 25,000 or less.
• The high school senior is attending school in Wisconsin.
• The high school senior is pursuing post-secondary education and plans on returning to rural Wisconsin upon graduation.
• The high school senior will pursue a degree in a field that will support the economy and well-being of rural communities in Wisconsin. This includes fields in agriculture, healthcare, large animal veterinary care, environmental studies, and sustainable practices.
• The high school senior has financial need.

Two letters of recommendation are required.

Selection will be completed by an ad hoc committee.

The scholarship award will support tuition and educational expenses.

Scholarship recipients will be notified in May.
