Dog Project

The 4-H Calumet County Dog Project offers classes in obedience, showmanship, and rally. The trainings will be held on Tuesday evenings this year, starting on May 16, 2023, and running through August 15, 2023. In order to participate in the trainings, you must attend one of the two scheduled mandatory meetings. The first meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 28th at 6:30 pm. The second meeting will be held on Thursday, April 13th at 6:30 pm. Both meetings will be held at the Calumet County Courthouse in Chilton in Room #017. At this meeting we will be going over the handbook and filling out the required paperwork. You can either hand in the paperwork that evening, or it must be turning in by May 1, 2023, in order to take the training classes.

The pre-requisite to participate in the training classes are:

  1. You need to be signed up in the Dog Project.
  2. Attend the mandatory meeting in the spring.
  3. You must be in the third grade or above.

On our off months we have meetings and activities without our dogs, which Cloverbuds are invited to participate in as well. To start off our winter meetings, we go dogsledding in November!
