Raising Show Pigs
Shawn Doherty and his family from Johnson Creek, WI, raise competitive show gilts and barrows for exhibition throughout the country. They will be sharing their knowledge of what it takes to raise a show pig. Shawn and his family have shown hogs in Wisconsin and at National shows throughout the United States. These shows include the Wisconsin State Fair, the Jefferson County Fair, and the American Royal, where Shawn’s daughter, Isabelle, was the Reserve Supreme Overall Showman at the 2022 show. Shawn’s family has also shown in the Wisconsin Show Pig Association.
